Last week, the pupils of Scoil Mhuire embarked on an exciting journey to the Puffin Rock Exhibition at Glenveagh National Park in Co. Donegal. It was a day filled with wonder, learning, and a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty and wildlife that inspired the beloved Puffin Rock series.
The exhibition itself was a treasure trove of creativity and information. Guided by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff, the children learned about the puffins and other wildlife featured in the series, as well as the breath-taking Donegal coastline that serves as its backdrop. Interactive displays, colourful animations, and hands-on activities brought the world of Puffin Rock to life in an engaging and memorable way.
This visit to the Puffin Rock Exhibition was more than just a school trip—it was an opportunity to learn about storytelling, wildlife conservation, and the incredible landscapes of Donegal. A huge thank you to the staff at Glenveagh National Park for their warm welcome and to our pupils for their enthusiasm and curiosity.
At Scoil Mhuire, we cherish opportunities like this to connect learning with the natural world, inspiring our pupils to explore, imagine, and care for their environment.
