Warmest congratulations to our 6th class pupils on being confirmed by Bishop Alan Mc Guckian on Saturday 11th March. The children were magnificent and we are so very proud of them. Each and every child did their family and school proud. A big thank you to Mrs Gallagher who had the children so thoroughly prepared and who arranged the children’s involvement in the lovely liturgy.
Well done to the children from Scoil Mhuire who formed the very special choir for the celebration. It is no small feat for a children’s choir to do the whole Confirmation mass. They were wonderful and gave the most rousing rendition of “Shine Jesus Shine” to end today’s joyful celebration. We are so proud of the children for the singing and music.
Lastly, we are so thankful to our parent body who have worked so hard recently and this weekend in particular to ensure it was a lovely occasion for everyone. They catered for very large numbers who called in for refreshments after the celebration in the church. Thank you to everyone involved in decorating and preparing the rooms, those who donated, baked and made food and everyone who helped with serving the tea/food and with the tidying up. It was a huge team effort and we are so grateful for your time and hard work. It was lovely to be able to welcome so many people into our school thanks to the help of our parents. We are very lucky to have you and we appreciate your hard work. Well done everyone.
